I have never changed a clutch so forgive the basic question here, but do I need to replace the flywheel when I replace the clutch?
I know the stock flywheel has an steel insert on it that can be replaced, or the flywheel can be replaced... if that is needed.
Does the flywheel get replaced or resurfaced with each clutch change?

Is there any difference when it comes to the RXT?

Thanks

The flywheel should be fresh with every clutch change. There isn't a lot of material on a stock flywheel to resurface, but the insert can be replaced. I know Mccloed does it. No difference when using a twin disk.

Sad to say I don’t even know what the cars came with from the factory. Guessing a steel flywheel?

If so, yes, get it surfaced.

If you have an aluminum flywheel they have a steel insert.

Just did my clutch and can’t believe how light the Fidanza aluminum flywheel is.
