hey guys, so my cluster does not illuminate when the headlight switch is pulled. I have checked all of the obvious things with no avail. I started reading some olddd forum posts and discovered that these clusters have a inverter in them that can go bad. Long story short, I don't think anyone makes that inverter anymore. However, there was a guy in that thread who said he could fix them for a flate rate, we just had to send him the cluster. I tried contacting him and had no luck (the threads are nearly 10 years old anyway) so now I come to you guys and ask if any of you are aware of the fix for this. I am willing to pay to have it fixed, I just want to be able to see the cluster at night. Can anyone help?

One option is wiring a dimmable light strip instead. Somebody did a post or reply about that in here somewhere.

I went the inverter route when speedhut was still making them but it isn't as bright as oem.

They still make the inverter, it's just under a different part number. I hope someone can chime in with it.

I'll try to look for it.
