Alright I am calling on the experts for your help...

As soon as I start her there is a click...click...click (12 total on avg.) (over 2-3 seconds)

This happens regardless if AC is on, off, been on etc...

Any ideas what it is?

And should I only take it to a Ford dealer? No warranty remaining.

Thanks for the knowledge!!

Lash adjuster? Maybe a fuel injector but doubt it, these are noisy at times...but maybe you are having a oil pressure problem and the motor is not getting oil up top fast enough

Mine does it to. I think its the automatic vent adjuster skipping or something. Its annoying for sure.

I had this in my car. It was the motor that adjusts the A/C from feet to body etc... Eventually the motor will die and get stuck and you can't change any A/C settings anymore.

I had this happen in my '10 and it was the a/c actuator. Fixed under warranty though. Sorry to not be of much help but this sounds like the same thing I had.

You are correct, sir!!

Fixed under warranty as well ( minus deductible. )

So glad that the clicking noise is gone.
