Bought the my 04 Cobra back in September, noticed the tips looked rough and initially thought about replacing them. Thanks to a ton of threads I was able to find that wool and glass cleaner may help. I think they came out great and maybe I will get it even better when I decide to spend more than 45 minutes on them combined.

Wet sand those bad boys down and hit them with some good polish. It won't take long and the wet sanding will get rid of the pitting and they'll be good as new, if not more polished than they even were new.
