I just did a search and it really didnt help,please ,can anyone help.I was on the freeway and all of a sudden "CHECK FUEL CAP" light comes on.What the hell is this. I checked fuel cap several times and it seems to be on ok.could it be bad gas? any help would be greatly appreciated THANKS....... :cuss:

This happened to my wifes brand new passatt. They changed the fuel cap and it came back the next time she filled up. Turned out to be a vaccuum leak sensor or something like that. Probably have to take it to the dealer.
