p2629 popped up today on my way to work.
I am a little pissed off to say the least.
I just switched back to a performance tune from the lope tune yesterday because i noticed it would randomly stall out while driving and I pushed the clutch in to coast.
It happened twice in the past week.

Other then that, the car runs just fine. However i noticed that little hesitation around 2100 rpm under very light throttle has been more annoying lately.

You have a bad 02 sensor. Replace it and you should be fine. I would replace it asap. If you search for my thread it shows how to relocate them.

The bad 02 sensor is the cause of the stalling and hesitation.

Yes, Bad O2. I had the same problem. I wish ARH would relocate to O2 sensors to point at a slight downward angle, like the stock O2s do. That would help this issue big time.

Tousley ford has them for $56 it looks like...
Maybe im looking at the wrong part? It says front left oxygen sensor.
Im guessing it doesnt matter left or right as long as its the front one specifically.

I am kind of screwed. I called a local shop and they told me they could most likely relocate the sensor up a bit ("most likely" because he didnt see the car yet) but told me that they cant work on cars with offroad exhausts... *sigh*

Are cars with longtubes and high-flow cats getting these same issues?

Yes its not the cats issue, the sensors that fail are the ones in the header's collector, before the cat (the important ones)
They are simply positioned wrong it seems.
Condensation in the exhaust splashes the sensors hot ceramic tip and causes it to crack/fail.

Dealer list is around 95.00

And I have had one go bad in 3000 miles with sw headers on 93

Sounds about the same as me. Similar mileage after putting the headers on.

Im gonna try to get these modified the way blazer707 did and hope that will be the end of this bulls.... :fm:
