Any one knows how to perform the swap, is it easy to do or should a shop do this. The parts start at 260.00 for shaft, and they mention a shim kit. Mine finally broke today at the track (not unexpectedly) going to third. still went thru lites at 12.13 with no power.

the new shaft is same length as the old one.....you just remove it, and install new one, very easy swap.

here is the complete t56 manual I have uploaded, right click save as

I didnt check mine for endplay so dont worry about it. If you throw the new shaft in, everything rotates freely with no binding with the front case back on and you have no back and forth play in the shaft you are good to go.

Great information....The entire shop manual...Thanks. I ordered all parts 3-7-5, Liberty was in the process of making more shafts should be complete by 3-30-5. I also ordered shim kit, tob sleeve and seal . The new 26 spline clutch was ordered stage 3i from Spec. So by early nest week all parts should be here. Thanks again gor all the GOOD information
