Centerforce dual friction clutch guys , let's talk

basically I have 1 question, centerforce unlike anyone else specs two 10.4 "10.5" clutches for mustangs. One for 86-95 and one for the modular sn95's 96.97.98. Now my question is has anyone run the 86-95 clutch on a modular platform because I found one for next to nothing on local craigslist this clutch will be going in my 96 cobra in my signature. Intelligent input greatly appreciated :thumbsup:

I'm pretty sure the pressure plate holes will align to the holes on the flywheel but is there a way to can verify how many splines the disk is? T45's use 10 spline input shaft. 86-95's (A T5) I can't remember if it's 26 or 10.

Other than that it should bolt right up.

The clutch is 10 spline 1 1/16 , I'm running a tr3650 with 10 spline 1 1/16 input shaft

I don't know why they would be different, most clutch companies list the 96-98 cobra clutch the same as the 5.0 fox body clutch. The t-45 and the t-5 have the same 10 spline input shaft.

Great question. The parts-legos for Mustangs is immense, but for the '98-98 Cobra, we have two different parts, as you noted, DF161830 for 26-spline and DF920830 for 10-spline.The 26-spline is for aftermarket transmissions and/or input shafts; the 10-spline should be the one you're looking for, but feel free to give our tech line (928-771-8422) a call to talk it through.
