So the black chrome rims are now up in the attic. I had the center caps stripped back to stock for the stock wheels and I guess the company that chromed them before took sand paper or steal wool to the surface :fm:. 2 of them now have a lack luster surface without the circular swirl. Anyone ever polished them or had to get the shine back?

I've seen them polished before - however it has to be done carefully as the metal is thin and they can actually get too much heat in them. The heat distorts the appearance and they look odd. They have a "wavy" look to them.
I guess best shot would be trying to polish by hand first.
