I have to run it through inspection by Sept.15th. When she passes, I'm gonna rip that catted h back off and put my offroad h back on. I took it out for a spin with cats on it and its funny how those cats quiet the car down, even with LT headers and 2 chamber flows. Gonna get 2 yr. sticker so I don't have to worry about it again until Sept. 2010. Wish me luck, guys.

Good luck. I noticed the same thing.... 03-04 mach 1 cats versus off road x pipe... I'd say the cats took away about 70% of the sound from the exhaust.
Well, took the car and it passed. Now, tomorrow night gonna put that offroad h back on. The only snag that I had was the the guy doing my inspection---he was telling me I need to remove a bandana that I have hanging from my rearview mirror, that it was blocking my vision.
Mine made it through with the O/R pipe by the grace of god. I think the old man liked my car.
