Do EFI cars really need cats? I personally think its somewhat of a Gov. thing. We don't have smog checks and I'm thinking of pulling my cats if there is any gain in power/mileage.

yes deff no cats, better hp/tq gains too.
Depends on the car I guess. Some say Terminators run better with high flow cats in place. Some say different Im sure.
