Has anyone tried adding carseat latch tethers to a 94-98 car? Been wanting to try putting my 2.5 year old in the back for short drives but was hesitant since there were no latch tethers for his front facing carseat.
I happened to be at the Junkyard getting some stuff for my xj and saw a bracket in the back of a 99-04 car that looked awfully similar to a latch tether point so I pulled it off to take with me just out of curiosity. Looking into it further it appears 99-04 cars include this bracket and a modified rear package tray cover for the anchor points. Thinking if I get a new package tray cover and maybe drill two holes in the deck I can have a clean factory looking option for rear tether points.
Curious is anyone has done something similar.
