car wont restart after getting hot ?

it starts fine when cold and after driving for a while it will not start.
only starts if i let it sit for a while cool down.cant figure it out

does the starter get hot ? it cranks fine,just no start.what about the crankshaft sensor ?

When its hot, and not starting, I assume it cranks but doesn't fire?

Next time, turn the ignition on, but dont start.. see if you can hear the fuel pump cycle. If not, it could be fuel pump relay, or pump issues. Just a thought.

Mine does this because the starter is getting heat soaked. I'll be upgrading to a high torque mini start and wrap it with a heat shield.

i just had some exhaust leaks fix and it started right after that.i'm still on my
original 96 starter.

Yeah. I'm on my original '95 starter but my longtubes heat soak it to failure.

fuel pump cycles on fine every time,has narrowed it down to the starter
