We judge on cleanliness, not MCA rules. We also don't require trunks to be open because we realize that folks need somewhere to store their cleaning supplies, etc. Cleanliness is everything. If you can put a hand on it, so can a judge.

That being said.... all sponsors/vendors must have a fire extinguisher at their displays. Just a reminder to those who might read this!

Is that for all displays or only those with enclosed trailers (as in years past)?
I'm almost positive it would be for any display requiring County permit. I also remember someone from the County Code Enforcement checking to see if those with permits had fire extinguishers last year (or year before).

Last year it was all displays. I was there with Air Lift and all we had was 2 tents. They stopped by and made us show it to them. I believe it was a lady from the city.

I know last year one of the vendors that were on the bass pro side outside the immediate show field came and borrowed mine out of my car because a fire marshal came by and checked, told them they would be back in an hour and they'd better have one. And all he had was a tent set up, no trailer.

I'm in NC and the only shows I've ever been to that required an extinguisher for individuals in the show was MCA.

Yeah, it usually a show by show thing. Alot of the older aaca shows require it, a few local shows adopted that rule over the years, but very few shows require it.

I always have one in the car. A few years ago I saw the actual reason MCA started requiring them at shows...it wasn't pretty

This happened to me and my dad a couple of years ago. If not for a bottle of quick detailer and two diet soda's from a car that pulled over she would have burned to the ground.
