Okay, i was at our annual cruise night, getting ready to head home. Ran car at idle for about 4 minutes waiting on a friend to show up, and as soon as i got out of the parking light, the check engine light came on, and the car started running rough like it had a huge cam in it. Stayed with it throughout the whole rpm range. Motor is a 95 HO with an 89 computer.
Car runs like crap! Help please!!!

If it started pouring out black smoke (ie rich) then the MAP/BAP sensor has gone bad.
It could also be a bad MAF, bad ECM etc etc,
It might be hard to daignose since your car is a '68 that been converted. It could be something like a wire splice that has lost contact etc. A whole new can of worms.

Check the vacuum line going from the tree on the firewall to the underside of the intake. Weak motor mounts (letting the engine move more than it should) or dry rotted line could have broken or pulled off. Is your brake pedal hard all of the sudden? If so that is your fix.
