any one know y my car would hold at 1500-to 1900 when i come to a stop and it will stay there if i give a hard rev it will drop to a 1000 the car is a 01 cobra stock

my new accufab throttle body likes to stick open, and giving it a throttle blip will get it to drop.
You could also check to see if the throttle return spring is either missing or is worn out.

wow, my sig is wildly out of date.
check/clean your IAC VALVE....if you clean it and it still does it replace it....this happend to me not to long ago.

idle position sensor, i dont even know if these cars have them but my lt1 trans am did that and i had a cracked idle position sensor.
how would i go about cleaning the iac?

carb and choke cleaner...spray in and i took a tooth brush to it...it helped for a lil bit but my IAC was toast

same thing happened to me, only like 30 to replace it if it is toast. But try and clean it out first, 5 mins.
