Well, looks like I spun a rod bearing or something in the 96 Cobra. Horrible knocking noise that keeps getting worse. Sound is comming from the bottom center of the motor. I would like to pull the pan off and take a look without pulling the motor. Can it be done in these cars? Thanks

drop the K, have a cherry picker or other STABLE device to hold the engine. I had to replace my cracked oilpan this way. only PITA is the rear part of the oilpan gasket.
