I am wanting to run at least a 315 if anything it will make the 315 look a bit more beefy going 11.5" instead of 11" the tire is recommended to run on up to a 12.5 wheel width so an 11.5 is preferred over 11" for it.

thanks

Just realize, the wider the rim, the wider the cross section will end up. I have run both a 315/35-20 and a 325/30-20 on an 11" rim. Cross section on both were 12.6". You only have about 13.5" of wheel well to work with and the tire needs some room for articulation on the inside wheel well. It will rub occasionally unless you go outboard. Once you start moving the wheel/tire combo outboard you will risk contact between the outer fender lip and the tire. Not trying to dissuade you, but only speaking from my experience.

I'm going to be switching to a True Forged wheel that will be 11.5" but with the same offset I have currently with my widened 11" wheel and spacers. I'm pretty sure the cross section is going to be 13", but the 325/30 is an inch shorter than the 315/35. I'm also stepping up the spring rate in the rear for less body roll.

Here is my car with the 315s widened on 11" PP wheels. That tire is 28.8" tall. You should be a good 2" shorter with 18s.

Nope, you will rub the inside of the wheel well. If you install spacers to move the wheel out it triggers a lot of issues to consider..

Yes you absolutely can. I widened my stock SVTPP wheels to 11-3/8 and am running a 325/30/20 out back with ZERO issues.

If you look at my signature pic, you can see the wheel is flush to the wheel lip on either side. I am also lowered and running suspension mods and an adj panhard to make sure everything is centered. I did it because why spend thousands on aftermarket wheels when the stockers look nice? I paid $500 cash to widen them both from a very reputable shop.

Thanks guys pretty direct answers but I am not sure if mine being an 07 makes it different from yours. Sounding like I may just need to suck it up and just go 11" even.

Sorry! I missed a big part of your post saying they were an 07 wheel. Still, it all depends on the offset. My friend widened a set of aftermarket wheels for his '08 to almost 11.5" but the offset was very similar to my '11 wheel offset (that's how I knew mine would work because he did his first). Even with an 11" wheel, you can fit a 315 or 325 tire. My other friend has 2 sets of widened wheels at 11" running 325 Michelins.

Why not widen to the 11.25", and if needed slide a thin spacer over the studs for an exact fitment on your car?

A thin spacer sandwiched between you brake rotor and wheel mounting surface is not going to hurt anything and the 11.25" will give a better fit for a 315.

I am all the way out to 12" with my Alcoa's, and thankfully the Alcoa offset is out as far as it is which allowed me to go all the way to 12". <<And without any bump stop mods or tire rubbing.

^^^^This set-up also supports a properly fitted 335.

Thanks guys,

any tire recommendations looks like the toyo proves TQ in 315/35/18 matches up pretty close to the height of the stock tire but i would love to run a more regular summer tire like a pilot etc but not seeing anything in an 18 and 315-335 that they make?

I have 2 sets of widened wheels I'm running. The first are in my pic here- the stock 11 svtpp wheels widened to 11-3/8 and I am in fact running a 5/16" spacer. These tires are 325/30's (Dunlop Sport Maxx GT). My other wheels are the stock 2014 svtpp wheels widened to 11". I still use my spacer with these but run Nitto NT05's in 315/35. The Nittos are bit taller being a 35 but still no fitment issues. Both look awesome but the Dunlops are about .6" wider in section width and just look more badass in my opinion. Other friends are running Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's in 325 tire which are much better than my Dunolops. Hope this helps
