Wheen taking my 01 Cobra and installing a 2000 Gt rear end.. can i use my drive shaft without changing yolks and stuff...

can i pull it out and then put it back in (i know it will be a tad shorter but i was told it would still be okay)

Do :pop: nt reply unless you know please.... THANK YOU

Yes. I have my original driveshaft. It is a tad bit shorter, but when you reinstall it you slide the yoke onto the tailshaft for quite a ways. I don't know the exact dimensions, but there is still a very loong overlap of the tailshaft and the yoke.

I've since done quite a few aggressive launches at the strip with 315 drag radials, so if something were to break it would have done it by now. But, I will soon be ordering an aluminum driveshaft for a solid axle anyways.

*Edit*
The length of the 99/01 Cobra driveshaft if 44.5", and the length of the driveshaft for a solid axle is 45.5".
