Hey guys, I'm getting my tranny rebuilt with the Circle D kit and a new Circle D stall. I just bought 16qts of Motorcraft Mercon V... I see some threads suggesting against it but I just wanted to double check. Thanks!

I had mine flushed at a dealer last year before I took it road racing. Its been in there through tons of 1/4 mile passes, 2 auto cross days, and 2 road race days...not to mention the on the street beatings.

yeah...its fine.

FWIW, I also flushed my 99 expy with the 4r100. It got rid of the dreaded torque converter shudder.

I think you'll be fine as long as you don't mix them. Once you get everything installed before you start it for the first time I would disconnect the return line (rear) and flush a few quarts through.
