can a handheld tuner turn off the egr crap...

well the subject says it all can the hand held tuner turn off the egr. I would just like to delete it all when i install headers but i dont want a CE light untill i can get a dyno tune.

Also does anyone know any good tuners in ky in or TN

just about every header out there has an EGR port.

they may not have the AIR injection, but the EGR it should have.

It reduces detonation, and lowers emissions. It will help gas mileage too.

OK. So then i will delete only the smog pump then. Does this need to be tuned out or can i just unbolt it and plug the lines.

yes the smog pump must be turned off with a tune, my car was giving me a high voltage code without it tuned out by my tuner. With the xcal 2 and the tuning software that is availiable you should be able to turn the smog pump(air injection) off, along with the EGR. Yes, all of the headers have an EGR hook up. You wont notice any difference in gas mileage without it. Its for emission purposes and if you dont have emission standards in your state then go for it.
