Not really GT500 per say, but I want to data log my car and was wondering if a Chromebook can be used to remote data log, remote tune, save enough info, etc.

Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks.
I think I found more info in the search.
Just trying not to send a lot of money on this computer, Chromebook, etc.

No you cant unless you have a chromebook that can run windows, which I know mine cant... I use my chromebook for everything but I have a shitty 10 year old Sony Vaio on Windows 7 that I use strictly for datalogging.

You might be able to avoid a computer completely. Look into the scantool MX obd2 readers. They use a superior chip(ST1110) compared to the crappy ELM327 devices. This might allow you to datalog at a fast enough sample rate with just your cell phone.

I have one myself and the ST1110 is able to read about 10x faster then the ELM. The datasheet claims up to 100 PIDs/second if that's enough for you.

Well,
I went ahead and just bought an inexpensive $200. Best Buy Special laptop.
I figured, I have a 13 GT500 and I'm not going to spend alittle more to insure my baby is running 100%?
So now I should be able to datalog, etc.
This laptop is not bad for just alittle over the $200.00 mark.
We will see how it does in action.

Update.
Returned the cheap $200.00 best Buy laptop. Just not enough power to really do anything.
I didn't expect much out of it, but it really was slow and no power to do anything.
So don't go cheap!
