Campgrounds near Chain O'Lakes/ Blarney Island

Ok so I'm turning 25 in 2 weeks and me and some friends are thinking of going to Blarney Island on the Saturday. We were thinking about staying at a campground Friday-Sunday. We were going to stay at the Chain of Lakes campground in Antioch but I've read some bad reviews. Mainly that they are extremely uptight (security checking constantly on campsites/alcohol prohibitted). We're not planning on being wild and reckless but who doesn't bring a cooler of beer with them when they go camping? Any ways I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for campgrounds and if Blarney Island is really as great of a time as I hear. Oh BTW I'm about an hour and 15 minutes south of the chain of lakes so driving back isn't an option.
