Does anyone know if there is a type of registration for a car so that I wouldnt need to get it smogged and i could use it for track only purposes....same goes for insurance?

go into the DMV and ask them. there wouldnt be any insurance for a track car. i believe you would register it as a non-op vehicle. you would have to tow it to a track and you wouldnt be able to drive it on public streets.
