CAI Installation question?

I am going to install a new CAI today.
Has anyone disconnected the battery to reset the computer?

OR

Did you just install and drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its a K&N unit.

Does not go through fender wall.

disconnect the battery while you install it. when your done start the car and let it idle for a few minutes. turn the a/c on and let it idle a few minutes more. Then drive it for about 10 miles.

this is what I do although other will have different opinions.
