Buying a gen II lighting, what do I need to address on this truck

I’m buying Friday a 2001 Ford F 150 lighting in red with 13311 miles on it bone stock

im aware of the J transmission concern and the spark plug well threads.

I’m going to do a safety check on the vehicle after I pick it up , anything specfic I need to change out.

Can you change out the valve that ford saved about 4 bucks a tranny to make the tranny better ?

I think you have two of the majors covered… j-code trans and only 4 thread heads (looking into each).
