I've had the SS stainless steel ones (on DSG 'vert) for about 4 years and they are still going strong. I do like the new outlined ones like sb03cobra has though. Good luck and have fun with it.

Really depends on the color of your car, I almost went black, but I glad I didn't. Some match and some don't.

wait til i get done polishing my, soon to be at my door, bassani o/r x, i just polished my driveshaft and cat backs, and im painting the transmission and bell housing this weekend. I figure, if your gonna have it off to upgrade parts, might as well trick it out all the way. Im going to paint the transmissioin and bell housing "Anodized Blue", i tried to polish it, but WAAAY to many small nooks and crannys. I tried aluminum paint, just looks the same, thought about mystichrome, but you cant see the color shift under the car(too dark), so i found a process to prime, a reflective aluminum, then top coat of blue anodized. Its gonna look great. will post pics of the process
