What are the commonly missed upgrades that should be done when building and engine. I am in the process of having my engine built and was wanting some advice on some less thought of upgrades that should be done for an engine that will be seeing 600+ hp. Right now I have:

-Manley 4240 H beams
-Manley 2618 pistons (-11cc)
-Total seal rings
-ARP 2000 rod bolts
-ARP main studs
-ARP head studs
-ARP side bolts
-TSS oil pump

I guess my question is what else goes into a reliable engine?

Timing chains? Valve guides? ect?

If It were me I would 100% do new chains, guides and tensioners. Do it once do it right.

This...

I did chains, guides, and tensioners when rebuilding my motor.

Ok great, one question in regards to that is what brand. Is OEM the way to go or are there good performance companies that offer reliable parts?
