broke down and bought a porter cable

Now I need some recommendations on which pads Ill need? Plans are to clay the car first, then swirl remover, polish and finally wax. Ive got my wax preferences figured out but I just need to know which pads are the best, how long theyll last and how many of each Ill need. Thanks 2881

I have both LC and Sonus pads and they work great. If you are just using the pads on your car I would get 1 cutting/polishing, 2 polishing, and 1-2 finishing. You can use the same pad with different products but you need to wash it out really well before you use another product. Cool thanks for the info....Ill be using the porter cable on all three of my vehicles going to practice on my 87 5.0, then my 99 Cobra needs shined up, and my truck which is a garage queen will be last. Might just double up on the number of pads you recommended since I have several vehicles that I want to do. Ill check out autopia.org :beer:
