do you really need a $3500 racing brake setup for a car that hits the track 2-3 times a year? the alcon kit requires some grinding of the spindle (at least the grand-am cup kit does)

Try a 00R brake kit for 1/3 the price. m-2300-x.

Try several different brake pads and find out what you like yourself. I like Ferodo but Hawk makes a pad for anything and everything. Lots of people like Porterfield pads too.

Looking at the Saleen Alcon kit, have heard the 4 piston caliper is ALOT better, and carries alot less heat and fade then the PBR's. I have found several kits for around 1,000.00 by the time you piece them together, (rotors and calipers, and hoses) Maybe I should have jumped on them!

Go with the Brembo calipers. They come stock on the 2000 R and I've never heard an open tracker complain about them. Look on ebay, there is a set for sale.
