I’ve lurked around the forum for years and feel lucky to live in the age of the internet. I’ve read different opinions all over the place but wanted the “current” feel for the process.

So the issue at hand....

I recently had a block built and a clutch built and I was curious on the process of breaking each one in and how you break them in together.

I understand having to seat seals and I understand a clutch has to be heat cycled (or 500miles for you sticklers). What happens when you have a fresh motor making 1300+ HP (just using a random number... it may make less or it may make a lot more) and a brand new clutch. You can’t put the pressure that the motor needs on a new clutch can you? So what’s the solution?

I’m just curious what the current forum makeup feels about the situation. I am obviously not a mechanic, farthest from it so any advice or input is welcomed and appreciated.
