hey guys,

Recently we put a separate reservoir in for the clutch line, next to the brake reservoir. Also put a new brake booster in. Power bled the brakes etc.
Still can't get the hard pedal pressure I'm looking for.

We notice that the booster flexes more than a similar mustang - when depressing the pedal, at the firewall. Almost like the firewall is flexing.
Is that normal? Any indicator?

I'm going to try and get an ABS bleed done, but wanted to see if you had any other ideas?

thanks
D

I saw a photo of a PWC 302S (I think it was the green "DAT DOG" Brad Adams car) that had a reinforcement from the strut tower going back to the booster, but I'm not sure that's the best way to limit the type of flex you're describing. In my mind it seems like that would damage the booster housing.

Ideally, if this is really a problem, you would want a plate that supports the firewall itself directly, around/at where the piston rod for the MC passes through. This could be done in a number of ways.
