brake pads, ceramic vs composite??

what the heck is the difference. a buddy of mine said ceramic since its quieter, talking about hawk pads, while u guys have recommended the hawk hps ones. ive heard hps's are squeeeeeeky. so ya ceramic vs composite

very very squeaky, some times i get embarassed but it does stop on a dime (well one thats about 130ft long).
