Guys,

Im looking at a car that has well under 100K miles and both the brake and clutch pedal pads are so worn that they are pretty much hanging off the pedals. Is this normal?

Depends on where the driver rests his feet, their driving habits, etc. They could have had aftermarket pedals, and just replaced it with a used set, etc etc. I wouldnt worry about it too much as long as the pedals function properly, as you can snag up pads for cheap

P/N F4ZZ-2457-A for a new pedal pad, same one listed for both brake pedal and clutch pedal

List out at $14/apiece, i'm sure you could talk the guy down some :) Still available through ford.

Thanks. I know the pads are cheap....I just wanted to be sure that they could in fact tear so quick. Main concern is that I am not looking at a car with an altered odometer/cluster.
