What grades of sandpaper or steele wool do I need to polish them to a mirror? They are already completely smooth from Glenn's - they just need to be shone.

Can this be done by hand?

Input appreciated.

Thanks.

If they are stainless, and already smooth with no scratches, you don't need to sand them at all. Just take them to a buffer wheel with white compound, and they will look like chrome. Be very careful though because the edges will get grabbed by the wheel and rip them right out of your hand! Had this happen when polishing stainless band clamps which are essentially the same thing, just a bit smaller.
