I was installing the boss intake manifold yesterday and when I was almost finished I realized that it wasn't lining up correctly its the stock air box. I don't know if it was just me but I didn't know that the boss manifold didn't work with the stock air box and I don't want to go with an aftermarket one so I figured I would try to make an adapter with a buddy of mine. The angle was a little off but we rotated the intake tube clockwise about a quarter turn so it lined up a little more with the throttle body and it was about 2 inches short of reaching. And also the PCV valve was about 1.5 inches from reaching the intake tube. We bought a 3 inch PVC pipe and 3 inch rubber tubing from home depot and created a an adapter and replaced the normal PCV valve and plastic hose with a 1/2" fuel line. It cost 13$ total and I think it looks pretty good. Let me know what you guys think.

I think there is an adapter as well. At least I saw something on AM that said something like that. You should be able to buy a stock boss intake tube from the classifieds or maybe from a vendor as a take off.

Yea there is an adaptor, but looks like the OP did a good job with the stock one to make it work pretty good.

looks good but all you had to do was heat up the plastic "box" on the bottom and push the corner that hits the radiator hose into itself self so it makes kind of a 45* instead of a 90*. We did that on a buddies car since he was too cheap to buy the boss take off. I bought the boss install kit from the dealer and it came with the boss tube.

Reviving old thread.. The reason it didn't work was because your stock airbox, not actual tubing? Reason being I have the Roush CAI which only replaces the filter/airbox portion and wanted to see if it would work with no modifications.
