Bought a Boss alternator for my 5.0 and need to install my 8-rib pulley. Impact didnt remove the OEM pulley. Is it reverse threaded or do I need to stop being a girl and impact the hell out of it? Is a special tool needed?

I ruined two alternators trying to take it off that way... It takes a special tool. Your ford dealer should be able to remove it for you
That explains it. I've already had one stripped. If I didn't read this I would have ruined another. The dealership is booked for 2 weeks. I might have to order the tool for it.
Just ordered the tool I assume is the correct one.
