Boss 302 6R80 swap questions

Hey guys,

My MT82 is pretty much on its last leg and I'm ready to auto swap my boss. What all is needed for the swap and is there anything different on the boss as far as wiring and what not? Sorry if it's stupid repeated questions but haven't had much time to do any research.

I'm actually about to do the opposite swap, so I'll have a full list of things that came off the car when I'm all done. But I can tell you that the list will be long

If you had a good tranny and were close enough to me I would try to swap with you, but heres a link to a guy that did the swap and detailed it.

I'm assuming the boss should have all the necessary wiring hook ups as the 5.0's do but I'm not real sure? And I'm also not sure on which harnesses I'm actually needing?

Well, I've got my auto out and the manual going in. You will definitely need a new wiring harness at a minimum to swap in the 6r80. You will probably need to get your hands on an auto computer and get it flashed to your VIN as well. Good luck!
