Over the last week or so, I've noticed a strange sound coming from the L's engine bay, like air going through a trumpet. It hit once last week after accelerating on the highway, then again it occured after a warm start-up (truck had been driven, then sat for maybe 1/2 an hour).
I popped the hood, and dammit if the sound isn't coming straight out of the air filter (I have an AiRaid CAI). Air is coming the reverse direction it should be, and out of the filter.
Methinks it must be the boost bypass solenoid sticking, and re-routing the air back into the intake tract. If so, then the $3 boost bypass kit would most likely solve it.
