Granted, that is very impressive but remember that run was at -1150 ft density altitude from what I recall in his post. That makes a massive difference in power output.

Great Air + Great Driver + Great Car = Great Achievement!

However, I am sick of reading the Vette guys whining: "on the stock runflats". Many people have gotten 1.8 60 fts. (with a rare 1.7) on those tires. Of course a MT DR would be better, but they obviously work very well.

The Density altitude was -1228 feet with alsolutely zero wind. The C6 Z06 is a great car but it is not a 10 second factory car any more than a Focus is a 8 second stock car after running the quarter mile down the side of a mountain. Of course weather conditions vary, but a density altitude of 1228 feet BELOW sea level and zero wind is ridiculous.

The NHRA conversion for that DA is ~.15sec. Don't quote me, but it's in that range. While that nice DA helps a bit, it doesn't shave off a .5 sec or anything like that. Most people think it helps more than it really does. The conversion factor for DA in the multiple 1000's is much more. Below sea level doesn't get you much.

That still puts him in the 11.0x range stock. Still VERY fast:burnout:

DA correction
