Bolt-on GT500 vs ZR1 vs S/C Viper

Don't know if it's been posted yet but here it is anyway. I was pretty surprised with the outcome. Can't wait for a bolt on 2013 run against one...

Daamn that is some sweet ass racing. Can't believe how well the GT500 did, usually it gets walked, and this is by a drivin' mofo in a ZR1 no less.
The guy shifted pretty good, sounded like a semi-lift shift!

Also I thought the Viper would do better. Vipers with '08+ hoods = SEX. Actually all of these cars are teh sex!

Great vid. I figured it had to be posted but missed it somehow. What happened with the Viper? That thing should have rolled out.

I agree with you, I would think it would take more thn just bolt ons.

nope video is fake.

i wonder why the difference in the two races. THe first race was much closer. The second race had the camera even saying the GT500 got the hit and the ZR1 deff had some MPH on the GT500 when it came around it.

Stock ZR1 is high 120's to low 130's. Still didnt think it would keep up like it did though.

This Shelby is trapping around 126-127 ... Makes 603whp with intake ,pulley , TB , long tubes and tuned by Kevin macdonald.. Stock Zr1's trap around 128ish-129 so hence the close run on the vid . :beer:

i miss spoke on that one. Most of the record ZR1 runs are 130-135mph. I was guessing with the owners skills and it being a roll it would equote to low 130s (ni theory)

If It's trapping 126-127- with those mods that's great, Because I have a friend who has a VMP tvs that dynoed 650 pwr and 650 tq and that's what he's trapping.

Now on top of that he raced a 2008 z-06 stock and it was a real close race the 2011 gt500 ahead by a car to 120, and I would imagine that a ZR1 is faster.
