Blown Diff Cover

blew up my diff cover last night! knew it was only a matter of time and have an lpw cover already in my garage. i plan on dropping the irs myself and doing the work myself. i also plan on installing either a ftb or mm bushing kit. wondering what kind of specalty tools are needed and if this is a job that can be done in a garage. i have standard mechanics tools but ftb's website shows them using a press, and bushing removal tools which i dont have. also any links to irs removal would be great. thanks

can you use a c-clamp or something else besides a press to seat the bushings?

Go to MM's website...they have plenty of links for all their instructions. Not that difficult to find the information.

yes a big c/d clamp can be used. just make sure you have some nice scraps of metal and boards to get the job done.
