Went into town to wash my 94 HCI before winter, decided to do one last pull before she sits in storage. Turned down a straight away and let her eat...then a loud clunk! I let off and tried giving it gas, it just revved up. I coasted to my house since it was close enough, I did a few tests and found out I have reverse, first and a little bit of second. At about 2k on the tach in second, it just revvs up and whines without catching or going into 3rd. Is is time for to swap in a new AODE or possibly a T5 if parts are available for the 94 95s?

It might be cheaper to have your AODE rebuilt by a local transmission shop. You would have to call around and see what the shops quote you.

If you are wanting to do a manual swap, sounds like this is a perfect excuse.
