Should I replace my 430 gears for better performance? If so why? Thanks :beer:

Car has a V3 SQ @ 8psi and 4.30 gears.

You usually want to cross the finish line at the RPM with peak power. Take it to the track and find out.

4.30s with a centri should be pretty optimal for performance.

I have 3.90's and first gear is pretty much useless. I could'nt even imagine anything steeper than that if your blown, even with a centri (which I have)

You need a better tire and more weight transfer. I can hook my drag radials 90% in first gear on the street once they get warm. A 3.90 will actually spin less tha a 3.73.

i have 4.10 and putting 530 down to the tires through mickey thompson drag radial and i have no tire spin in 1st gear. squats and screws
