blower off, diffrent color ports?

took the blower off to swap on a ported one i bought on the board here, that all went well but, when i removed the blower number 8 intake port was a diffrent color then the rest of them. It looks semi-burnt? brownish, any ideas, leaky intake?

Are you taking about the dark brownish color around the intake port that meets the head? And is this same color in and around the bottom of the intake? Most of the time and is a common thing is oil blow by or oil mist from the crank case that gets pulled into the intake tract, and this can be somewaht cured by a air/oil seperator.

yes but the other seven seem to be reativly clean, and number 8 really the only turning brownish, just thought it was stange to have one be diffrent, its not dark brown, just a light trace

I would say it's just blow by.. unless it's crusty and dark, I wouldn't really worry about it.
