And to answer the OP's question directly - for Black and darker color cars (after I wash, clay, compound, and polish) I usually use CG Blacklight, machine applied with a black pad - buffed off with fresh/clean 300 gram Microfiber towels, then final wipe down with CG V7 and a 600 gram towel(s)
A lot of the process also depends on what the customer wants. Many only want a one step... or don't want to pay extra for a 2+ step process. But I almost always wax a dark car with Blacklight unless the customer specifically asks for something else.
