This is a billet aluminum battery cage or battery box for Optima batteries. It has the word “Mustang” cut out in the top, along with the infamous Mustang horse. The base mounts to either your stock battery tray, chassis, or trunk floor. I have an 03 Cobra, and modded my stock battery tray so I could mount the cage to the tray. I will send you the tray if you want it. Then the battery comes out the top simply by removing the four aluminum screws on top of the top plate. If you have a different car, you may be able to modify your tray or mount it to the engine compartment some other way. For trunk mounts, it should work in any car.
