The 17/15 look is fine because it has functional significance. The 17s clear modern brakes and the 15 have tires that hook. It's THE modern interpretation of the Big and Little look. 20/18s would just look obnoxious. But what do I know I think the "hellaflush" guys look stupid too. This thread will probably be the genesis of another disturbing car trend that overtakes Instagram, Facebook and car forums every where. Meanwhile Ill cruise on my "normal" rims.

I run f14 in 18's all around, with 610whp from my paxton my 285 conti dw do great from 2nd and up 3.31, and when nice and warm outside they don't do too bad off the line. Not sure I would want a 20 out front, but if you do it take lots of pictures.

Good luck with your decision.

I run 20's (Nittos) / 18's (Mickey T's).
255/40/20 = 28" - 305/45/18 = 28.9"
Mickey Thompson Tech Line told me the 305/45/18 (28.9") wouldn't hook any better than the 305/35/20 (28.8"). I thought the 18" might be a little more forgiving with the increased sidewall height. I'm tired of this look and plan to go to the 20's over the winter or next summer when my tires are shot. I have seen the 20's hook into the 1.4's in the 60' on factory suspension auto cars so that should be more than enough for me.
