Can you experts explain the difference between the current 4.6 block and the proposed 5.4 liter block in the new 2007 Cobra? I realize the 5.4 is close to 330 cubic inches, thanks in advance, Doc. :shrug:

5.4 has same bore but longer stroke. Therefore deck height is different and whole engine is taller. Heads are basically the same.
I think the actual deck height is alot taller. Kind of like the lightning block, but adapted for 4 valve use.
if you get MM&FF mags they have had a project car that has a Lightning motor in it which sticks out of the hood, most people who swap 03/04 motors into foxes dont have issues with clearance.
