Got an email this morning saying . . .
Said the email address is from [email protected] and subject is FPA NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - Section 9 - *my email address* @socaltrailriders.org

Dear ([email protected]),

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due
to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community.

Per the User Agreement, Section 9, we may immediately issue a warning,
temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership
and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that your
actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or
us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or
authenticate any information you provide to us.

these phishing attempts are getting ridicolous. I got an email from some bank asking me to log on and provide my bank card info. The bank was legit, but the link in the email took me someplace else. Plus I never had an account with that bank. So I logged in as "SUCKMYASS" as username and "youreastupidmoron" as my password. I updated my card info with similar vulgar terms and then it forwarded me to the real bank site, after recording all the info I input.

There was emails going around for all kinds of banks saying they are updating their software and for you to enter you info. Scammers!!!

That was the first thing I did. I can see how some computer illiterate people (or people who simply dont care) could easily get caught by one of these.

Yep, been around for a while, I get 100's of Emails a week from them, But I run a ebay business and there allot of crap I get like that...

Whenever I get a pfishing mail I reply (through a phony account on Starbucks server) with all kinds of phony info, credit card numbers, non exhistent pin numbers. etc. Maybe it will tie them up with bullshit and keep someone else from getting bombed. :fm:

Ohh shit I got that e-mail!! I thought it was real because I haven't "validated" my account with ebay yet. I would have known if I had gone to the link, but I was gonan contact ebay support about it. ****in scammers. :cuss:
